1. Shkodra Lake

Plan a day trip to this breath taking lake and be awed by Mother Nature’s artistic touch. You can swim on some parts of the lake or just sit down and enjoy a picnic on this lake. There are resorts near this lake where you can stay for a night or two and wake up in the morning witnessing the striking sunrise on the lake. You will also spot a lot of different species of birds residing near the lake, so it’s definitely worth visiting especially for bird watchers. You can even spot wild boar, rabbits, foxes and sometimes a wolf on its shore. Shkodra Lake is truly a magical place on earth. They even give you boat tours on the lake.

2. Brucke Von Mes

Brucke von Mes is actually a bridge in the village of Mes. This bridge is as old as 18th century. It is 108 m long and you will find it appealing if you like ancient architecture. This bridge was built by the Ottoman rulers. This was a very important route for trade in the ancient times. You can hire a taxi for an hour to go to this bridge, stay a little while and then come back.

3. Rozafa Castle

This impressive castle stands tall at a height of 113m. An interesting legend goes about this castle which the locals or your tour guide would tell you with enthusiasm. Rozafa castle gets its name from Rozafa, the lady who offered herself as a sacrifice so that the castle could keep standing where it stands. You can know about the entire legend once you get there. The main building is the St. Stephen's church. From inside, the castle has 3 courtyard. The first one was the defence courtyard, the second one was the garrison where the soldiers lived and spent their lives during war times and the third is said to be a prison. You can see the beautiful shkodra lake from this castle. It actually looks like a fairyctale with an actual castle and a lake.

4. Shkoder Historical Musuem

This museum is also one of the buildings built by the Ottoman Regime. It was built in 1815, and it represents old Shkoder culture and lifestyle of the locals. It is in fact an old house with rooms and artifacts belonging to the people who used to live here. You can tour yourself this museum at 100 Albanian Lek for an adult.

5. Shurdhah Island

Shurdah Island is a lush green island on Lake Vau-Diges. You can get there by a boat. You can enjoy by the island shore or have a good meal at one of the restaurants over there.
